Change of address can you do it at any office?
Can you do a change of address at any magistrate office or does it have to be at the nearest magistrate's office to where you live/will be living?

But I need to lodge it in person at an office as I dont yet have internet banking or the electronic id card. I also need a fresh printout of the updated details from an office. I just want to know if I can do it away from the local office since we are not in Helsinki right now.

I don't think you can go to any maistraatti, but you can go to any post office and drop it off there. They'll check your id and forward it to maistraatti.

and as long as you have the ID number it should be OK as they will also mail you the address forwarding for a year for a pretty nice fee that is almost unbeatable..
