In January 2010 Helsingin Erä-Majavat ry will establish an English-speaking Cub Scout group. The group is meant for boys and girls aged between 7-9 years, whose language skills are not adequate for participating in Finnish-speaking scout groups. The group will follow the Finnish scout program which was updated in 2008. The sea scouting activities will be present in the spring.
The Cub Scout group will meet once a week in the premises of Helsingin Erä-Majavat in Perhonkatu 3 (Helsinki, Kamppi). Meetings will take place on Sunday afternoons starting at 3 pm. Duration of the meetings is 1 hour and 15 minutes. The first meeting will be arranged on 17th January 2010. The Cub Scout group will attend the camps and daytrips with the Finnish groups.
