buying tax free cars
hi
i am akalu zewge from ethiopia, i am planning to buy 6 brand new toyota tax free land cruisers from finland and shipping them to ethiopia. i think finland car markets are cheap w/o the tax on them. i am wondering to know if i am obliged to pay any money excluding the net car price and the shipping when exporting the cars from finland to ethiopia. any procedures i should be aware of? any info on this is wonderful

You are joking right? For you to get this right and for the half million Euros that this would cost, I would get some professional help.

You are correct - but you have to go through Toyotas tax-frree saled division. But wouldn't the transport from Dubai be more economical?

Re: buying tax free cars
well, i am checking the transport cost, but when i see it logical , since i am gonna buy 6 cars and i save almost 5000$ per car with equivalent values @ Dubai, i think it makes sense. i was checking out the Toyota in Finland but the language is hard 4 me, so wht do u think?Pursuivant wrote:You are correct - but you have to go through Toyotas tax-frree saled division. I think if you call Toyota tax-free sales you will find plenty of people who speak English
I'm sure they would be more than happy to arrange sale and delivery to the Middle East.
Have you also tried Denmark? Cars are also much cheaper tax-free from there and there might be a currency advantage too.
Now everywhere is closed for New Year, so I suggest you wait until Monday morning. Or send them an email.
