Post by nash_123 » Fri Jan 01, 2010 5:19 pm

Hi
I am a national out of EU/Nordic coutry. I have a residence permit as a spouse with A status. Now I have been enrolled as a doctoral student but without any fund from the school. In this situation am I eligible to get the Kela student benefit?

This site says may be I am eligible.

actually it does not say anthing with the name of doctoral student. One term is there that says mature student of upper secondary school cannot get aid. I am sure they dont mean doctoral students by it.

Have you been accepted to KELA? If you a member of KELA system, then you can get student benefits. However, your spouse's income and your living conditions determine how much. With living conditions I mean the accommodation arrangements.
