Credit card with zero monthly/yearly fee

Post by Mustikka poika » Tue Feb 09, 2010 4:33 am

Is there any credit card which is free of charge? You just pay if there is any interes but not any monthly fixed fee.

I'm looking for a credit card with small or medium credit limit. I know it's possible to get this kind of credit card in many countries but I'm not sure about Finland.

I just checked on Nordea's website and all cards have monthly/yearly fee.

Any sugesstions please

Nordea ones are free (if you're a key customer)

How about the S one? https://www.s-pankki.fi/ They been giving it "free for this year" for a couple of years.

S-Pankki has the only free VISA that I know (and they have actually dropped the 'this year' part in their adds some time ago). Stockmann Mastercard (administered by Noreda) and K-Plussa mastercard (by OP) have no annual fee either.

Someone that's either given them a lot of money, or borrowed a lot of money from them.

Actually: http://www.nordea.fi/Personal+customers ... 31072.html

The limit is 30 000 worth of loans or assets. Not so bad nowadays, as IIRC the criteria has been lowered many times since the beginning of Nordea's customer loyalty program. For example, direct stock investments and funds on current accounts were previously not included (only Nordea-administered funds and savings accounts were) when determining the limit, but they are now. Correct if I'm wrong.

But what comes to REAL key customers, they are propably these folks: http://www.nordea.fi/Personal+customers ... 60684.html

And a wealthy relative of mine once said that the individuals importance to the bank is only proven when you start getting a bottle of Hennessy Cognac from the bank each Christmas...

You can sign up as a Key Customer for the Customer Programme when you have or your family has in Nordea

* an account for regular income* and
* products or services from at least five product groups, and
* at least 30,000 euros in savings, loans and Nordea Private leasing agreements.

Sorry I should have mentioned this actually...
You gotta have at least 30,000 euros in savings, loans and Nordea Private leasing agreements plus the two above... not just one of the points but all of them.
