Soon 6 months unemployed. Scary!

Post by irvman » Mon Feb 15, 2010 1:19 pm

So almost 6 months and yet not a single life sign of hope. The problem is that February is the time to get the summer jobs but Espoo site is crap. I have an account and everything filled but every time i try to attempt to apply for a job post there isn't like apply for this job. If i want to make a direct application it asks me to create a new account. IT country and yet not an easy site to work with. Anyone recommends a good place to intern in Espoo. With all this free time I don't mind meeting with other foreigners and hang out.

What do you think that huge "hae paikkaa" link then is for?

Thank you for help £$€¤%&. No !"#¤% its "Hae Paikka". The problem is the site that doesn't keep my filled info. Everytime I apply and sign in for some odd reason it has kesken on my info even though I have filled every form out. I go on ahead and look to see what forms may I have missed and to my fortune everything has been cleared (and yes i do hit tallena). Also the session expires way to quickly which is counter productive when spending time trying to apply.

Anything and everything means welcome to the siivouspalvelut world or the ravintolat world!

try mol.fi and everything else related to restaurants fields. thats the ur major chance ( work in a bar, as an extra in restaurants and etc... you will learn even if you speak a bit of Finnish) unless you have a huge degree in IT, then best of luck with the IT world of Finland!

6 month is not that bad, be optimistic we all went through this and waited to find a job, even Finns wait for a year to find that. its all a matter of luck and keep on searching and LEARN THE LANGUAGE and the CULTURE! these things matter :)

I go to the search page on mol.fi, put Espoo in the "Kunta" section and English in the "Sanahaku" section click "Etsi" and TADA, I get all the English speaking jobs in Espoo. Aint that cool? Find a job in just seconds (none of this six months crap).

Or then you put some word like "and" or "the" and you get all the adverts in English that don't mention any language requirements.
