We are looking for your (gas) grill experiences as we are looking to get one. In the states I knew
differences between brands and had a moderately large grill with 3 burners and quite heavy
stainless steel grates (family of six with many friends, used to grill 3+ times a week year round
prior to moving here). We already have a few charcoal grills so we aren't looking for any
wood/gas comparisons.
Which brands* are you familiar with that you would recommend, and are there any we should
avoid?

need some grill advice
Re: need some grill advice
Gas grills can work well in the warmth of summer, but can sometimes be inconsistent and problematic in the cold of winter.
In winter they usually light-off and get hot, outdoors, but regulating the cooking temperature can sometimes be unpredictable.
Anyway, seeing as you are in Finland, which has real winters, that consideration might be worth looking into.

I've got a Landmann gas grill, 3 burners and cast iron grates and I would recommend it. I think the cast iron grates is the way to go. I dunno if its the best brand out there but when I bought it, I felt that the landmann was the best quality for your money. We've had in now 3 years and still going strong. Of course I have kept it clean, and kept a cover on it when not in use but it still works as good now as it did when it was new. And has worked for me just fine in the winter as well. Even this winter I think the coldest it was when I was outside grilling was about -10. And no issues with heat or cooking.
