My name is Kristen and I am currently living in Helsinki with my boyfriend who is Finnish. This is my 3rd summer here in Finland and I am currently taking Finnish language courses, although it's a tough language and i am a slow learner, i am enjoying it. I have worked for over 16 years with children and truly love my jobs, the kids, and families. I have worked with children of all ages and abilities, have completed beginning EMT courses, and have a Bachelor's Degree from Oregon State University. I was a teacher at an orphanage in Thailand, where I taught my own classes of art, sports, and English. I also taught high school girls English and was a swimming instructor. My last job was working with an 11-yr. old autistic child for 3 years. I am very active, energetic, and enjoy being with kids and a part of the family. My hobbies are snowboarding, running, soccer (football), swimming, and art. I am very excited to be here in Finland and am looking for a great family and children to work with.
