Anyone know where to get a microwave grill and oven? Not just a microwave oven with a grill, it's also part convection oven! Fancy!
I had a look at the local Prisma and didn't find what I was after. Any suggestions? I'm so hungry.

Helsinki, here I come!

The prices in finland are quite shocking and they don't even import panasonic combi microwaves (I bought mine with me from the UK).
I would check argos.co.uk and tesco.com check the weight and then bring one back. Even a flight just to bring the oven back will save you money.

Hi Dave;) I hope all is working out for you there!!!
I will see if I can find out about the convection ovens from here to help you out... I know I have seen them in Finland so I'm sure we can find one...
EDIT: I know I can get them here for around $100 (70 Euros approx.) but Im not sure on shipping costs, if it works out to be less then what you find there I can arrange to have one sent to you...

About importing electric stuff: the importer is held responsible that the equipment is safe and that it fulfills regulations. Finnish and Swedish manual is mandatory when selling to consumers (flea market, huuto.net etc).

hmmm so if you buy something at a flea market they should give you a manual? I thought most flea markets sell second hand items? if thats the case its not always possible to have a manual years later is it? hmmmmmmmmmm

you need a transformer the size of an oven that'll fry eggs for an oven...

well, as it turns out Stockmann's has one on sale right now for 199 Euros down from 249 Euros(reg price) so if thats not too costly David maybe that would be an option... they have them in stock now and they do deliver them also for an extra 40 Euros, but it is small enough that you can take it by metro I'm sure:) and sice it is new you would have the manufactures warrenty on it and Stockmanns is a very reputable company so it sounds like a safe buy to me...
Edit: if it is too much Im sure you can find one cheeper, just might take abit more legwork...

Yup, you got that correct. Missing manual (in case of electronics) is reason for annulment of purchase. And the seller is responsible for example if the power cord is faulty and there is injury/fire.

No wonder the quality of living is so high in Finland, you guys have no chance to get anything cheep do you? lol... I see why it can be hard for foreigners to move there without a valid reason... Personally I'm so used to getting items cheep, I'm not sure if I could handle the prices (even if I can afford them) just out of principle...

Ah, buying cheap...
But remember, buying cheap you get what you pay for. Cheap and good are two different products.
My old man used to say that "Poor man cannot afford to buy cheap".
And he was damn right about it.

Buy once cheap, a toy to play with, then buy second time good, for working.
