anyone has mutsy urban rider or micralite toro or M&P Joolz

Post by Ipam » Sat Aug 14, 2010 2:33 pm

Hello,

We just got here a week ago and realize that we need a heavy duty stroller for our 20 month old because we don't think our umbrella maclarren triumph would survive the winter in helsinki :)

We narrowed our choices down based on our online research to the following:
- Mutsy Urban Rider
- Micralite Toro
- Mamas and Papas Joolz

any thoughts? or does anyone sell any of these strollers? We cant find it in any store near helsinki (1 store carries mutsy all the way in tampere).

Thanks :)

The brands you're after probably aren't that popular here-although i've seen some Mama's and Papa's stuff about- brands like Quinny are similar in style to those you are after and popular here so will be stocked in a number of places.
The best range is at Lasten Tarvike here's their list of prams and pdf's of their catalogue. They have a small shop in central Helsinki with about 15 styles of pram but the out of town branches are much bigger (i've only been to the Vantaa branch so can't actually comment on the others) and will have sales on from time to time (hopefully before winter as we might get a new pram - maybe a Brio)

Hello there,
I have a Micralite Toro for my baby girl but I had to order it from the UK as none of the Finnish shops carry the brand. Ordering was very easy and no trouble at delivery either.
I find my Micralite very handy and you can order All Terrain wheels for the front ( work well for heavy snow conditions) from a number of US sites should the tiny front wheels be too light in wintertime.

Dear Abbey,

where in UK did you order your Micralite Toro? I know there is a store in Lauttasaari that carries the brand, however their stock is limited and they do not offer all the accessories and/or their delivery time is quite long. I visited some UK online babystores, but the ones I've been on do not deliver off mainland UK. I'd like to have a Toro for your youngest child (now only 6 weeks), since we travel a lot in big cities (like London or Tokyo) and it seems quite handy and it has a buggy board available (for our 3 year old).

Any comments on the use of buggy board for Toro? And anyone who has the all-terrain-kit and how it has worked the snowy times here in Helsinki?
