Lift to England

Post by John » Sat Apr 10, 2004 7:56 pm

It's a few weeks away yet, but at the end of May I will be driving to England via Stockholme and Gothenberg.
If anyone is interested in a lift, and has any some bulkier items to move then I may be able to help.

Pm me if you're interested

I will be taking an Opel Frontera and a trailer so on the trip out there will be plenty of space, the boat docks in Newcastle and I will be driving down to Leamington Spa and then Northampton, if anyone was travelling then they would have to pay foot passenger rates and the cost of a cabin, its Viking Line to Sweden and DFDS to England. Dfds is best booked in Sweden as its a little cheaper, its a good trip I've done it several times now and the ferries are really floating hotels with some entertainment and somewhere to kip. The driving is only six hours so its not so strenuous.

Cabin prices are fairly cheap, but you pay more for the car.

John,

I don´t need a lift but I am from Northamptonshire too! ( I presume you are???) I have lived in Brixworth, Wilby and Corby. I would be interested to hear where you are from. Have a nice trip.

Hello,

my connection with Northampton is a set of steel rims and tyres for my car, and a friend who is storing them!
I guess I'm an adopted Yorkshire man really.

I'm actually heading for the isle of man as its TT time once again!!!!
