Meetings for mothers of intercultural families

Post by Duo » Wed Jan 12, 2011 2:54 pm

Duo´s popular Mother & Baby groups will start again soon

The groups are meant for mothers and babies (under 1-year old) of intercultural families. Mother & Baby groups are informal discussion groups in which mothers of intercultural families can talk to each other and share experiences in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can come to the group on your own or bring along your under 1-year-old baby. All mothers - Finnish and foreign - are welcome to participate. The groups are facilitated by women who are mothers of small babies themselves.

Participant feedback:
"Fun conversations, sense of belonging, new friends and new insights."

"It was very nice and helpful meeting other moms and hearing their experiences. Besides getting practical information from the other mothers, it was very comforting to hear that other mothers face the same kind of uncertainty and troubles that I face."

"What I got from the group was the feeling that I am not alone and positive feelings about all the situations and events that happened to me as a mum. I enjoyed the time and we are planning to continue the meetings."
Interested in starting and facilitating a Mother & Baby group of your own?

The next training for facilitators in English is held 25 February 2011, 9.30-12.30 in Familia Club, Helsinki. Please contact us: duo(at)familiaclub.fi

Hello,

I (and my 8 months old baby girl :) ) would be interested to join these meetings. Where can I find more information about them?
Cheers
