Master's Degree...

Post by rai1984 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 9:16 pm

Hello,

Next year I would want to apply for a Master's degree programe in ICT. I made some research and found out some interested programms I would want to apply for:

1. University of Helsinki: Master's Programme Computer Science (Networking and Services, Algorithms and Machine Learning)
2. University of Helsinki: CBU Master's Degree Programme in Information and Communications Technology
3. TKK: Master's Programme in Service Design and Engineering
4. TKK: Master's Programme in Mobile Computing - Services and Security

Does any of you have taken one of those programmes or taking it right now? If yes can you tell what programme and if you are happy with it? How is the studying life from the point of view of working and studying in the same time?
All those programmes seams to be full time, is there attendance, do you have to be in classes daily?

If you recommend something please give arguments, and all kind of advices are welcomed!!!

Thanks!!!

In case you do not get more answers from those more directly the subjects, I'm pretty sure the answer to this one is 'no'. Typical Finnish university courses lectures and exercise sessions are voluntary. You pass the course by the passing the exams, in some cases doing mandatory homework. Experience probably do vary, but for my own studies the only courses with strictly mandatory attendance was for some lab courses and a couple of seminar courses (participation and own presentation without exam).

Hello guys;
I hope I receive some advice on my case here, and please guide me to any other source you think might be helpful to my question.
I need some advice to choose between the two universities of OULU and Tampere University of Technology ( TUT ) for the Master of Architecture program.
Please let me know any information you have on the quality of the program of these universities in their Masters program, and which one would be better for an International student.
Many Thanks and Cheers

Theyre both extremely hard to get into - all architecture is, so Id worry of those things only after getting in
