Hosting french student in OULU

Hey everyone,

I'm a french student and my university in France gave me the opportunity to come and study in Finland, in Oulu. I'm studying primary-school teaching and next month I will do a training course in a finnish school. That's the reason why I post on this forum, I need to find a host family for two weeks from 8th april 2011 to 22nd April (or one week each, even a few days would be enough if I can find several people to welcome me). My university tried to find some people to host us, but since it is a bit late and they had difficulties I decided to write on this forum: so if you have any idea, if you know any people who might be interested in hosting student, let me know please.
Of course, I would pay for your accomodation (I thought about 10 euros per night & perhaps breakfast, but we could make an arrangement for sure. I would like to live with native Finnish or people who can explain me the finnish culture, typical food and so on since I'm willing to discover your culture and habits. This training course is not only studying, it also offers me the opportunity to live a human experience and meet people from everywhere...

It's restricted only to Oulu yes? You say the university tried finding people to host "us". So are there more students coming to Finland that need hosting?

We are two people coming (only) to OULU ! My colleague tries to find an accomodation on her own but I added her in my post in case someone could host us both. Are you in Oulu ? Do you know anyone in Oulu who may host us ? Thanks in advance for your answer

Have you considered CouchSurfing or Hospitality Club?

Yes, we tried via couchsurfing but people could only host us for two nights so it means that each two days we'll have to change accodomation. If it was for holidays I would use couchsurfing but we have 8 hours work per day I need some safeness. Thanks for helping...
