Where can I learn to Sail? Anyone have a sail boat?

Hi

Moved from the UK last year with my Finnish fiance and now live in Helsinki (Puotila).

I have always wanted to learn to sail and seems that its pretty big here in the summer, i haven't had much luck with English courses but wondering if anyone knows of someone with a sailing yacht that needs help for the day so I can learn as I go? If so then drop me a PM..

Probably worth mentioning the obvious but I don't speak Finnish yet but physically fit and pretty good common sense!

They have english speaking instructors, and do a lady sail course if your better half also wants to learn (Useful for when you buy your boat and need a crew )

I did my sailing courses in Sweden and then in Gibralta but my missus did the ladysail course so I have had some contact with them and know they have english speaking instructors.

I did a Competent Crew sailing course in English with them earlier this year and it was good.

This weekend is the Helsinki Tallinn race, maybe you can get a crew opportunity for this over night race (more like a Tallinn booze up really for most crews)
