Finnish language evening classes?
Finnish language evening classes?
Is there any institute which offers Finnish language course classes in the late evenings in the area of Helsinki/Espoo or Vantaa? Thanks.
Re: Finnish language evening classes?
I am not sure what you mean with "late" evenings, but otherwise yes. After all many of them are largely meant for people which are employed or otherwise occupied during day time.
Have you tried to check from the links supplied in the earlier threads about places offering language courses?

Re: Finnish language evening classes?
Rip, Thanks for the reply. I meant any course starting after 5pm. I have searched previous threads on this forum, and many of the courses start around 3pm or maximum 4pm. If you have any idea of such schools, please let me know. thanks.
Re: Finnish language evening classes?
Helsinki University has some summer courses starting at 5 pm. When the Autumn period starts (if you want to join, be ready when the registration starts) there will be most likely be courses starting at 5pm and/or 6pm

Helsinki Summer university seem to have some courses starting at 17:15 (lasting until 21:00).
(Maybe you need to wait until Autumn for suitable course, anyway you did not indicate your level so I can't pick any individual course)

Institute of adult education seems has course starting around half past six. At this point you'll likely have to wait until the registration for the Autumn courses start:

Työväenopisto has also some of their courses starting in the evening (had this spring, I expect to be so also in next term starting in September (registration starting at some time before that): http://www.hel.fi/hki/sto/fi/Opiskelu/I ... sh+courses
Considering these must be among the best known course providers in Helsinki, I wonder what did you check...?
(there might be some in Espoo and Vantaa too)
