Not that I know of, but it's not like you need it either. Flour + baking soda + salt = self-rising flour. http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/ ... our-recipe

According to previous discussions on the topic of self raising flour it is available locally:

Personally, I just add "leivinjauhe" (baking powder) which you'll find in a little container in the baking section of any supermarket. I put one teaspoon of baking powder per cup of plain flour (if I'm making muffins I add about 1 1/2 tsp per cup for extra lift). After experimenting with many different types of flour I found that the cheap "vehnäjauho" does the trick with all of my recipes.
Happy baking! what are you making anyway?

I wasn't best pleased with the results when I added baking powder to plain flour (not the same taste as SF) BUT I can now get self raising flour from Little Britannia, in Kauppahalli, Turku! yeah!! been making cupcakes & scones galore
if you're nowhere near then maybe Behnfords in Helsinki or Little Britannia do mail order if you're desperate!

OMG I just realised that wunberbier wrongly indicated to use baking "soda" to make plain flour into self raising flour! This is wrong! do not try and make self raising flour by using baking soda it will be a real fizzer LOLcazcat92 wrote:thanks for all your help, now i know how much baking soda to add to the flour i can make my own, i live just outside turku so it's good to know i can get self- rasing flour there now
You have to make sure you add baking powder which is different to baking soda. The Finnish name for baking powder is "leivinjauhe". Here's what it looks like:

Here in Spain we don't have SR flour either, except on rare occasions in some coastal supermarkets where there are a few more tourists. I use the normal flour with a sachet of "Royal" baking powder - I think it's one sachet to about 400g flour (it's on the packet) but I am usually very generous with the baking powder and things come out a treat!
