A friend will be busking in London this summer with his twin daughters for them to practice their English and raise school money.
The main question is he would like to know is is it prohibited or allowed for children to participate in street shows (performances) in the attendance of their father?
What are the legal labor laws and rules for children in such performances while under parental supervision? He wants to be sure to be within the rules and not have any problems with the police dept.
All information or links to more information are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

I think you would be asked to 'move along now please' by a friendly 'copper' if you were causing a disturbance to the public.

Busking in itself is not illegal although many local authorities have passed by-laws prohibiting busking. If you want to busk it is worth contacting the local authority to see if any by-laws have been passed with regards to busking. Children under 14 years may not busk.
