paragliding

Post by jenvesi » Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:43 am

Is anyone interested in trying out paragliding here in Finland?

I'm currently trying to arrange a course in English with the paragliding clubs in Uusimaa, if they have more numbers, they can set it up more easily. Otherwise if you know of decent schools around southern Finland, I'd be keen to hear from you.

Cheers
Jen

After 10 yrs paragliding I gave it up when I moved to Finland for the 2nd time, trying to stay current in Finland is a full time job due to the weather and after flying from 2000 meters in the alps being towed to 450 doesn't really have the same appeal :(

unless things have changed in the last 4 yrs the only tuition available is via the clubs, not enough demand or consistent weather to keep a school going.

But good luck, if you are single, with lots of money and time it is a fantastic hobby. ( do a search for parawaiting as an hobby to do along side it)
