Kela maternity grant package

Post by zita » Fri Nov 11, 2011 8:29 am

Hi all
I'm wondering how many of you opted for the maternity grant package or cash benefit? Is the package (baby clothings) really useful for a newborn baby? I'm pregnant now with first baby, so not too sure about this. Any experiences to share please? Thank you :)

I have no personal experience in these things, but from what I´ve understood, people are generally very happy with the maternity package, and it does cost more to buy all these things separately. For second child, one could get the cash instead.

Go for the package and not the money, we got ours weeks ago and it contains alot of baby and mothers things that the money from Kela cannot afford buying those. The package items wil serve your baby for a reasonable time period and the clothes are cute for babies .

I guess if one wants save money and know some people and places, then one can buy second hand stuff for low cost and get as donations stuff used and some stuff new as gifts and opt for the money anyway, but sure the KELA package is godo deal if you compare with prices of the same stuff bought new.
