Hello dear forum users,
I would like to ask if there are doctors outside the EU who are going to certify their diploma here and work. I would like to get some information about 6 months medical internship that doctors have to pass before the exams. How hard was it to get and if you got, what work obligations did you carry?
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,

Working as a doctor in Finland
Re: Working as a doctor in Finland
Like the OP, I'd appreciate some info on a non-EU doctor who wishes to work in Finland. She has been told she can work as a 'doctor's assistant' (possibly the internship that the OP mentions), but has to learn Finnish before practicing as a doctor. Anyone have any more information on this? My research suggests that she has to speak a certain amount of Finnish before being allowed to perform any sort of medical role.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Thanks. Looks useful. Anyone know if the Finnish language 'Skill level 3' referred to is the same as Suomi 3, as taught at Helsinki University?Hämeen Hitain wrote:http://www.valvira.fi/en/licensing/prof ... ts/doctors
