Can someone tell me what the officially medical alert symbol is here in Finland. I've been searching online and asked a few friends, but they didn't know. I was thinking it would be the rod and coiled serpent like the US, but not sure. Is it the one on some ambulances

without the ssk.. ?
If it is, is it an open source (non copyrighted) for general use to all?
My hand was well and truly slapped..

I think snake on pole is understood in here as mark of healthcare but if you want something what everyone knows.
Red/white colouring and cross.
Official "road sign" for hospital.

And i dont understand your "not copyrighted" question? Its illegal to pretend to be an official anything but you can use that mark on almost anything. Thats how i see it, im not sure tho but who can copyright cross what has been used by officials ages?

I don't understand what you mean by this onkko..
Otherwise, cheers for the info. I know that the red cross is "ensiapua" etc. I was wondering what the "official" logo/symbol was.. is there one on bracelets etc already in use?
I was asking if the image/symbol/logo was a copyrighted image etc. I don't think it is, but maybe a medical worker would have said you had to get permission to use etc.
My hand was well and truly slapped..

Jo se vitun punanen risti joka paikkaan nokkansa tuuppaa! But when i think about it its understandable, they operate on military zones and want to keep it so militants (like they care) wont use theyr mark.

Onkko's probably talking about your pictures of two blue/white guys, the ones that show up at the bottom of your posts.

Google diabetes ranneke or epilepsia ranneke and check the pictures. Dunno how official those are, but certainly they are used. I don't know any "official" symbols on top of the red cross.

If i was a diabetic and i wore a bracelet here in Finland, does it have a logo on it? I'm looking at medical alert products..
And my two balls (flags) are smaller (50 x 51 px) than your profile image.
