Yet another British person seeking work in Finland (english speaking only).
Brief Background & Objectives: for personal reasons Im looking to move to Finland, I have a degree in International Business, studied at the University of Portsmouth & University of Economics Prague, currently working as a Research Analyst within a Mergers and Acquisitions company located near London, UK. 25 years old with 3 years work experience. Looking for an english speaking role within Financial Sevices (Capital Markets, M&A, asset management, wealth management) or opportunities within multinational companies located in Finland.
Basically Im here to ask for advice, what are the best ways of finding work for finding work for someone in my position? Exploratory emails? Job seeker websites? Getting to Finalnd and meeting people? These questions are aimed at people who have done a move like this or have any advice for somebody trying. Im not surprised to see im not alone in my search for english speaking jobs within Finland. Having been there a couple of times over the last 6 months I've become very fond of the country (im a big ice hockey fan so suppose that helps but not the reason im looking to move). I will be going over in the next few months so want to prepare myself as best possible to increase my chances of making this move happen.
Any advice/experiences is very welcome.
