Based on previous cases "about one year" is a reasonable ball park estimate, but I see times from bit less than eight months to almost two years.

These for cases where they have first granted the right to submit a full appeal. I assume a rejection on that first level (which is the fate of most appeals) would come noticeably faster, but how much faster, I do not know.

Seems like the most important addition. Rejection at initial stage is not much faster (at least on average) than the full process time.

Wouldn't that discriminate against people who aren't pregnant? ;)
But seriously if nothing else the kid will have an effect to the income requirement.

So you have to show more dough. If the rejection was income based, it makes the situation only more difficult.

Immigration cases are not that difficult in general. If two lawyers couldn't help you, the third one might not either.
It is not like the TV series where lawyers use a bag of tricks to persuade the jury. It is more about the correct interpretation of the rules. If Migri did its work correctly, you might have a problem.

Are you his only wife?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

Well, ummm... what else would they be doing? They can't invent facts, they only present them.
