residence permit application for a finnish spouse

I am currently living in finland with my husband. I came here via tourist visa then after a month i applied for a residence permit. How long do i have to wait for my residence permit?

Assuming it is an easy case (you are married and have had relationship that you can document and show at least some time living together - and your country of origin isn't deemed suspicious), then if you told where you lived, somebody might be able to give from recent experience an estimate how long (roughly how many weeks or months) it could take. The processing times of the easy cases depend on the length of queue at the police in the town where you live.

If it is not an easy case, then "months" may not be enough (or at least a single digit number of them).

(and it is indeed residence permit, not a 'visa' application)
