Finnish beer

Hi all.
I qas just wondering about Finnish beer.
Now all the Finnush beer in the cases found in the supermarket don't really do it for.
They all seem the same and they are, for me, bland.

But i have an interest in the new microbrewies popping up around Finland.
Some of the beers are really really good but still difficult to find and also don't come in cases.
Does anyone know if you can buy cases directly from the brewies or can anyone reccomend some good beers?

As you've noticed, most microbrews aren't sold in cases. The only ones I remeber seeing are some of the simpler Laitilan beers.

You should check out olutopas.info's list of Finnish beers sorted by user rating. Every beer has a "saatavuus" (=availability) tab in their info.

Be sure to attend Suuret oluet - pienet panimot (Great beers - small breweries) event. It's an easy way to taste a wide variety of Finnish microbrews. June 14th to 16th in Turku, June 28th to 30th in Lahti and July 26th to 28th in Helsinki. Link.

Certain Alko stores have a wider beer selection (do a store search on their site with the term "olutvalikoima"), don't know how much additional Finnish beers they may have but worth a check anyway. There are some Finnish Porters etc. also in the Alko regular selection, and any store will order you those if they don't have them in stock.
