can anyone translate this sentence for me into Finnish?! :
"Finnish, a brand-new language with long words to convey a meaning rather than sentences. Moreover, Its vowel harmony is great and fascinating. "

Calling a language a few thousand years old "brand new" sounds a bit silly.

sorry, but I meant sth else. I know it is one of the oldest languages. But I meant 'brand-new' in terms of new morphologies and grammar. Anyway I would be really grateful if you could translate this sentence into Finnish.

Maybe the OP is right: you need looooonnnnnnngggg words to convey meaning. Sentences just don't do it in Finnish.

Yeah, no, the google translator wasn't humorous enough. You need to try more for your Tarzan. The start is promising, and I like the innuendo of "conveying the long one"... then you miss it with having one half sentence actually correct. The chinese wading pool was funnier.

Um... but it's still sentences, it's not like people talk with just some long word. Wouldn't call it necessarily economical either, one has to sometimes spend time deciphering the exact meaning. And fantastic vowel harmony? Does OP even know what vowel harmony means? It just sounds like OP hasn't quite "got" Finnish language, just picked some points from this forum (vowel harmony was discussed here not so long ago).
