Searching for moms and babies in Turku?

Post by Keksile » Thu Sep 20, 2012 2:33 pm

Hi everyone,

my name is Cécile, I'm French, and I arrived to live in Turku at the end of July because my husband (French too) got a job here. I am now unemployed and I take care of our little daughter who's nearly 5 months old.

I started to do some activities with her to get integrated (musical playschool, family café) but as I don't speak finnish (I just started to learn, but it's quite difficult...) it's sometimes difficult. So I am searching for "expat" that are in the same situation in Turku, or Turku region, to meet people, families, moms (dads!) with babies...

If you're available to talk or meet, please let me know!

Moi moi!

Hi Cécile,

Welcome to Turku. My name is Emily. I am an American and I have been living in the Turku area for 6 years now. I have a 3 year old son and a baby on the way. I would like to invite you to the International Café at Perhekeskus Marakatti in Perhetalo Heideken (Sepänkatu 3). The Internantional Café is a family café that welcomes everyone. We generally speak English, but you will hear some Finnish too. We meet every other Monday from 13.30-16.30. Our next meeting is this upcoming Monday 15.10.2012. Please feel free to come anytime. I will look forward to seeing you sometime.
