Post by mugas » Mon Feb 18, 2013 5:38 pm

Hi, i have a question from a friend of mine. She is portuguese and graduated in childhood educator and have a mba in local administration. She was thinking working here and she would like to know where to look for job. I already told her about mol but honestly in that area i'm not really aware where she can find more information. She also work as a au pair in USA a couple of years ago.
I really appreciate some help to tell her something
Thank you

I did some remodeling of a sky light in a daycare/kindergarten and it appeared to my untrained eye that there was a surplus of mums hanging around and i figured if they could get some extra cash and help out in these places they would.

I have friend(EU male) that worked in an English something kindergarten, he said it was brutal, never again.

Thanks for the reply.
About the kindergarden or is the same person or it´s the second time that i heard that someone got a realy bad experience in a English language school here.

Yeah i believe its not easy and its packed i was just wondering about other possibilites that can escape me from my none experience in this area.

Not speaking Finnish will make her being one of the thousands of people competing for the few jobs in Finland that do not require speaking Finnish.

Not being a native English speaker puts her in a pretty bad position for any English language schools or kindergartens.

Realistically, tell her to look for a job in Portugal or the UK instead.

Of course it is better to have native speakers but in an English daycare, it's your skills and how you interact with children and teach them that matters. There are a lots of them, some better than others I guess.

Thanks for the Reply, Yes Adrian 42 that's true, England for her is also a possibilitie, Portugal not so much because in that area is really bad now. Finland is just a option as England :)

Even thought i will send her some links for her to try her shoot. Thanks
