need finnish help with dress shirts

Post by cors187 » Sun Mar 03, 2013 1:45 pm

I have a dress shirt that ive finally killed. Its still ok to wear with a suit jacket but for summer of warm offices, there is starting to be a residual stain from the deodorant ive used.(cleaning not an option, need replacement)

Its a white shirt with satin stripes.
The shirt i want needs to be cotton-cotton/polyester blends.
I found mine in Australia and i have not found one like it.
The pattern on mine = large white Area/slim satin stripe/slim white area/slim satin stripe/large white area and so on.
Its a really good shirt that maybe suggests the hint of satin inflection. maybe its 5/1(90/10) in terms of white/satin look/feel.

I need your assistance , im hoping you could provide me with some Finnish retail links that might have such a range, even 50/50 slim satin stripe shirts.
heres a few links with pics of white satin striped.I could only find 70/30,60/40 and ofcourse 50/50.

this one is like a 50/50 white/satin slim stripe
http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/Pro ... RADS001_AU

this one is maybe 70/30 satin slim stripe
http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/foru ... f-Size-16R

this is maybe 60/40 white/satin slim stripe
http://www.ebay.com/itm/George-Mens-Pre ... 0754919656

In anycase i need a local retailer who has a selection that is a reasonable price.

No evening dress shirts , just standard business styles
Please help.

Satin stripes? I suggest you go to whichever Helsinki night club has the "business ladies", and interrogate the pimps for their tailor in St. Pete

Ignoring pursuivant, who seems to revel in others misery;

Hot water and napisan works best. Rub the powder directly onto the stain and let it sit for hours in a tub of warm water.

Works for all my dress shirts mate.

White(not colored) shirt with fine satin lines is a must for anyone's business apparel.Although as per my links, some are too glittery.50/50 are not my style , that's why im sad about my 90/10.

And then I thought I had problems, well they dissappear as snow for the sun when I read this level of suffering.

Well, at the end of they day, if I needed to go shopping for a shirt I couldn't afford in Helsinki, without going to the boutiques, I'd try Stockmann and Sokos and then give up seeing the price tags and go to Halonen... Petrifun and Melka should be quality still... but then again after going in the Stockmann doors I'd probably go out on the same revolve, find a pub, and order half a dozen online from Charles Tyrwhitt... problem with random dress shirts is the sizing is totally different between manufacturers... either you get sleeves halfway to your elbow and a tiny squeezing collar or then you're stuck with a three-person tent... hence once I find a manufacturer and size I kind of stick to them.
