English Theatre Festival 31.10: Book tickets now

Post by happeningfish » Mon Oct 11, 2004 1:43 pm

Heips folks,

The programme for the 2004 Festival of English Language Theatre in Finland is online, and you can now book tickets through the website. Tickets are 5€ and they're good for the whole day, so don't tell us that culture's getting too expensive! One day only! Special price, only for you.

Check out http://www.finnbritplayers.com/feltif/ for the full details. There's comical, tragical, historical-tragical, farcical-historical, metatheatrical theatrical, etc etc in short lots of stuff to see.

Well it is a BIG shame it is on the 31st October as Komeetta school (English language school in Espoo) has its Halloween party on that day which means all of us (Anglophone) mums and dads on the PTA are otherwise engaged all afternoon/evening (reading spooky stories, selling raffle tickets, building haunted houses, face painting, sweeping up popcorn off the gym floor etc etc)..... also it's the day after the Pineapple party....

Why does everything fun always happen at the same time??????

Yeah, the thing is more coordination would be a good thing. As well as announcing stuff on a wider basis. But nothing preventing coming to pineapple - after all we're supposed to be "civilized" ;)

Agh, and I need to drive the lights to feltif, take the van home and get back to town...
Cheers, Hank W.

Well, three of the plays will also be running on November 19 and 21 (The Lover, Antigone, and The Actor's Nightmare) under the billing "3 for all." So you don't have to be left out of all the fun!

I think you'll find there's always fun stuff going on, and it's not exactly possible to avoid it, ever. :)
