Drilling fenceposts in rockbed.

Post by Huy » Tue Apr 23, 2013 7:55 am

After inspecting and looking over the garden to fence, we have discovered that it is not possible to it ourselves without a jackhammer or the like.
The underground is solid rockbed. So...

We are looking for someone who can drill holes for the posts.

The posts needs to be driven into solid rock underground. Initial length is around 50 meters. Around 20 holes needs to be made. If the work is good and price is right, another 100 meters will be available.

PM with offers and contactdetails.

PS: Location is in Espoo, not far from Sello.

Why not just bolt them to the rock then?

4 holes and uneven surface... drill one hole, stick some anchor to that, pour a cement slab on top and you have flat surface that you can build on.

Dunno how anal Espoo is (ok, I know, it is) but at least you must notify them, probably you'll need a permit.

Oh, I will notify them. In 5 copies, aerial footage of the area, a !"#¤% hand drawn plan on a used napkin, pictures of the planks that will become the fence, dimensions of the bolts, amount of watts used for the drilling and even earth and rock samples.

Typical. I will just pile garbagebags so it looks like a fence. Big and smelly. Permit me that! Ha!

Anyone who knows good rat traps?
