I have moved to Finland on a work permit. I also have the residence permit card issued bu Finnish embassy.

Now I require a social security number (SSN) and also need to open a bank account.

What is the procedure to get SSN and to open a bank account.

Is SSN required to open bank account.

Please help.

you go there with your passport etc., fill up a form.. wait for a couple of days. you will get it delivered at your postbox. once you have it, knock a door of the bank of your choice. voila.
