Hello
further to my previous post viewtopic.php?f=3&t=75926 , I got the job extension to 3 years. This means I should be eligible to Kela coverage.
Kela has sent me a letter after 6 weeks of my application that they wanted to see my residence permit in order to make a decision. The problem is that my RP was denied last year in November due to insufficient study credits(Now I have 68 credits and a 3 year job contract). I appealed the decision through a lawyer and the case is still in Administrative court.
My friends say that unless and until the appeal is denied, I shall be considered to be living in Finland on the same basis as I was before ie a study Residence permit. The problem is what I should tell kela and where to get a document confirming this? Will my application be refused because my residence permit is not showing on my passport?but in fact, waiting for an appeal decision from the court?
Best Regards
Mahwish
Kela Decision and No Residence Permit
Re: Kela Decision and No Residence Permit
There are some requirements regarding minimum working hours and salary that might apply for you to get Kela coverage, but that doesn't seem to be your problem.mahwish wrote:further to my previous post viewtopic.php?f=3&t=75926 , I got the job extension to 3 years. If Kela coverage is not that important for you, explain the situation to Kela and ask them whether or not you are eligible before you get a court decision.mahwish wrote:Kela has sent me a letter after 6 weeks of my application that they wanted to see my residence permit in order to make a decision. If Kela coverage is important for you, ask your lawyer for advice.
