Query regarding servicing of Fiat Punto in Joensuu

Post by deepupkn » Mon Aug 12, 2013 8:03 pm

Hi all,

I have a 1997 Fiat Punto Mk1. I am from Joensuu. I would like to know which is the best place to do the routine service and maintenance. I have heard about Oil Point and Delta Auto. Could you please tell me if they are good? or Are there any other service centers here in Joensuu that does the maintenance of Fiat cars? I have also heard that Delta Auto is somewhat expensive than Oil Point. Can any one in this forum help me?

Thanking you all in advance for your replies

Delta is the Fiat dealer, so obviously they ask for the prime price.

Not any more. They have Kia, Mitsubishi and Mazda. Some dealers have Opel or BMW too: http://www.delta.fi/Etusivu/DeltanUudet ... fault.aspx

you could ask vianor for a price

http://vianor.fi/myyntipisteet/joensuu/

they merged with an independent autokorjaamo last year (which we used) and the mechanics were relatively good and the prices - before merge - were reasonable (but not cheap. nothing in connection with cars is cheap in Finnland). we tried other places before that and they weren't as good and more expensive.

another option is ad korjaamo juutilainen

http://www.hpjuutilainen.fi/

but with them, you have to be VERY clear beforehand, what you want to have done and that they HAVE to call you, if they find more to fix, otherwise you might be surprised with the invoice...

we have also used the oil point once for only the oil change and it was ok, but i don't know if they do more than that and how the prices are.

yes, I understand that, but I didn't mean the price only, but the actual things they do.
I have a friend who went there and they did A LOT more than she specified without calling her first. Some of the things were necessary to pass the katsastus and she would have agreed to the repairs, but a large part was not necessary at that point and she would have chosen to postpone the repairs. They weren't security relevant and didn't compromise the functionality of the car, so...
I suspect, the main reason was, that she was a woman and they thought, they can get away with it.
I recommended the korjaamo to her, because we had only good experiences, but it was always my husband who went there and negotiated with them.

If they do more for the same price... I wouldn't complain. If they did A LOT more, even better.

yes, me too, but naturally they wanted much more money... and they didn't give a definite estimate in the beginning, so the 15%-rule didn't apply

Thank you everyone for your replies. I went to oil point and they charged me 230 Euros for full service (150000). They changed oil, oil filter, fuel filter, brake fluid etc. I have question. What do you think about Autotalo Hartikainen Joensuu (http://www.hartikainen.com)? Are they authorized Fiat service people? Does anyone in this forum have any experience about their work? Kindly let me know. Sorry for the late reply.

Thanking you all in advance for your replies.
