card reader for henkilökortti

Post by GWolf2012 » Fri Nov 22, 2013 11:16 pm

Hi :D
Kela permits the authentication using the henkilökortti connected to the pc (and using the PIN number provided). Which card readers are supported and where can buy them?
Also if someone has a link to download the software, because I saw many references to the FINEID site, but no download links.

Thanks in advance

Further (community-maintained) technical information for Linux, specifically:

http://linux.fi/wiki/HST

They recommend getting a reader adhering to the USB CCID (Circuit Card Interface Device) specification instead of an older (serial port) based standard, or a proprietary solution. There are also keyboards equipped with an integrated smart card reader slot.

I checked on that and had real ID but why to pay for it? My id is good in EU but buying reader and such... No need.
I am also customer of few banks and i dont need reader or anything for it, just my bank numbers. Press bank logo and add numbers, no need for reader.
Its dead.

Jukka,
thank you very much for the links, I ordered one SCM SCR 3310V2 (the list indicates a 3310, but it's quite old and I hope it is compatible, otherwise I will return it)

Onkko,
you are right and currently I'm using by netbank codes to login, but in these days I need to check Kela site often, and I because I have the henkilökortti I want to try to use it so I don't need to consume the bank codes. In addition I like tech gadgets, so a smart card reader will become part of my collection
