Gambling and bank issue

Post by sandykateen345 » Sun Dec 08, 2013 7:10 pm

Hi,

I m new in Finland and nowadays I am in Turku. I want to know how gambling works here? I know, it is legal here but do I need to pay tax if I win, if yes then how much? Also, for example if someone wins 5000 euros then local banks like Nodrea will not accept 5000 from customer in cash? Can anyone know how payment system works here for gambling for Casinos and bank and customer?

Thanks

Wins from games of chance are exempted from tax, so I think you will not be taxed on winnings. You can keep all your profits from gambling :)

If you have an evidence of the legitimate source of the cash (e.g. a receipt from Täyspotti), banks will not have any problem in taking that money.

They are exempt if the winning is from a company that is registered to EU or ETA country.

Thanks for msg.

I play in Nightclub of Turku, club name is FORTE. How can I confirm if it is registered or not? It is one of the popular night club.

By the fact that it is most likely operated by RAY.
