As with any car, do you have enough anti-freeze? Probably yes, but if you bought the car secondhand since last winter it would be worth checking. Probably too late now though as it has already been cold.
Have you filled up since the fuel stations switched over to winter mix? Can't say I pay much attention to that because my car does enough km that it is never going to be a problem. If your car has not been used much since summer, fill it up and run it for a few km before you go.
Apart from this I don't think you need to do anything special.

Be careful if your car has remote central locking and the battery dies, and the doorlocks freezes up.
I had that happening to me some years back, and the - oh so modern - car, only had a doorlock for a key on the drivers side and no where else. Battery was in the boot and the boot could only be opened if the battery was still working or you could reach inside the car for the emergency opening mechanism to access said battery.
Ask me if I was freezing and annoyed, in the middle of the night in a damn airport parking in minus 200000 degrees, while waiting for help to arrive...
So... Pump some lock oil in it and spray/smear silicone on the rubber that surrounds the doors, before you leave. I can assure you, hard nipples are guaranteed, if you don't.

make sure that the fuel is winter one. it is of paramount importance. even winter fuel will freeze in the filter at minus 35. usually it freezes in thin pipes and tubes. if that happens the only solution is to tow the car into a warm garage for a day or two. also make sure that the battery is fully charged and disconnected. at -20 a battery losses up to 50 percent of its power. if it stays connected it will lose even more - a standard security system consumes up to 200 map per hours , so u can calculate yourself how much shall be drained .
What do you want from me?????
