Hi,
I recently bought a tablet from Amazon germany but it had some fault. I resend it to them by using post service. But today I got the device back and they said that since it had a battery it could not be transported to germany. Now, my question is
1 : How can i send it to germany so that they can send me a replacment
2 : What about the money the posti charged me for sending it to germany(around 20 euros).
BTW : Before this tablet I have also send one more tablet to germany and it went there succesfully i.e no complains from posti.
Thanks
How to return tablet to amazon germany
Re: How to return tablet to amazon germany
how did they know there was a tablet inside? did they x-ray the box?
the problem is lithium batteries and if they use air delivery them there are issues with lithium batteries (the worry they will catch fire and the automatic fire control system in the hold cannot put out that kind of fire). I had the same problem ordering a UPS from amazon uk (not that amazon could work out the why the package was being returned to them to start with). Ironically the UPS has lead acid batteries and not lithium ones, but a lithium sticker on the outside.

I ordered Nexus 7 and Nexus 5 from Amazon.de. Both of them have irreplaceable batteries. While they were delivered by UPS, the guy from posti bought it at my home.
Not sure why won't it work the other way around. Someone in posti being grumpy? Was the battery of your tablet at 0%?

Itella doesn't have cargo planes and not enough parcels to abroad for get one. Regular passenger planes are stricter with those rules.
