Once you are granted a full 5-year permanent P status and obtained the card, the requirement is to not be living outside Finland for more than 2-years. Since that's the case:
- how can you maintain the status if you do have to move or 2years but less than 5
- how to do the same if you have to move for more than 5 years
- Is it something with local address or bank account
- and do you need authorization from migri
- do you have to pay any taxes whilst living abroad
Maintaining permanent resident permit status (P)

An application to halt the revocation of the permit must be submitted before the period of absence reaches two years." - www.migri.fiB&H wrote:Once you are granted a full 5-year permanent P status and obtained the card, the requirement is to not be living outside Finland for more than 2-years. Re: Maintaining permanent resident permit status (P)
Talking about 5 years (instead of four) makes me wonder are we talking about the permanent residence for EU citizens or the permanent permit for others.
Irrespective of that, citizenship would be of course for life, if one can manage the language test and there are not other obstacles.
