dishwasher repairing?
dishwasher repairing?
Hello,
I have a problem with my dishwasher. I switch it on, it starts working. Some humming voice comes( i guess from pump). After couple minutes it gives an error(.20 error which means water cannot be drained) As error says, I checked below the bottom sheet through the hole where dirty water goes, it is full of water. I checked drain pipe, everything looks fine, no blockage. I disassambled dishwasher and checked pump`s fan, it looks fine too. So I dont know what is wrong. Dishwasher is Electrolux Reallife XXL.
Is there anyone who have an advice or help? Or where can I find a repairman?
Regards

Check if warranty is still valid. Otherwise the term you are looking to Google is: kodinkonehuolto.

I googled it as you suggested, found a place, called and ask about price. I was shocked when I heard the answer. The woman said I need to pay 120€ only for that the repairman will come and check what is wrong. This is ridiculous! f****** 120€ just for checking! And if he finds out some parts need to be changed it will cost me around 150-200€ depending on what part. Almost new machine price! this is unbelieveable. I`d better wash the dishes by my hands...

Re: dishwasher repairing?
you can use your hands to do dishes or you can use your hands to earn more euros and buy a new machine. Choice is yours
Re: dishwasher repairing?
Just noting that if the machine was fairly new, you might get something from your home insurance if you had one. Worth checking.
Re: dishwasher repairing?
The usual problem in a case like yours is a faulty drain pump. It can not be fixed only changed. It can easily be done, just try to find the shop manual (I once found a manual for Bosch dishwasher). Pumps often are sold on the net. The only problem is the pricing. A new pump might cost up to 150 eur. Thus if your machine is older than 3-4 years , there is more cense in getting a new one.
What do you want from me?????

we have insurance for the apartment itself(we are on rent) but not for our own stuff.Rip wrote:Just noting that if the machine was fairly new, you might get something from your home insurance if you had one. Worth checking.
Does it have to be exactly the same pump or can some used pump from another machine fit as well?foca wrote:The usual problem in a case like yours is a faulty drain pump. Well it depends, but often machines produced under different brands (Siemens and Bosch ) have interchangeable parts. Try getting a shop manual and then search for the part number.tista wrote:Does it have to be exactly the same pump or can some used pump from another machine fit as well?foca wrote:The usual problem in a case like yours is a faulty drain pump. Umm, was the dishwasher there when you rented or is it really your own?tista wrote:we have insurance for the apartment itself(we are on rent) but not for our own stuff.Rip wrote:Just noting that if the machine was fairly new, you might get something from your home insurance if you had one. Re: dishwasher repairing?
It is really our own. When we moved there was not any dishwasher. I installed our own dishwasher myself.Upphew wrote:Umm, was the dishwasher there when you rented or is it really your own?tista wrote:we have insurance for the apartment itself(we are on rent) but not for our own stuff.Rip wrote:Just noting that if the machine was fairly new, you might get something from your home insurance if you had one. If you say so. I think most of those kind of "kotivakuutus" do cover your own belongings.tista wrote:we have insurance for the apartment itself(we are on rent) but not for our own stuff.Rip wrote:Just noting that if the machine was fairly new, you might get something from your home insurance if you had one. Re: dishwasher repairing?
We rent the apartment from VAV and the apartment have already had insurance before we moved in. I do not think that it covers own belongings of the person whoever moves in the apartment. But I will check it once again from the documents we got from the housing company.Rip wrote:If you say so.
