I am an Australian exploring the options of studying abroad and have a few questions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So I have a few questions,
I have heard that non finnish residents are able to study free of charge in Finland, is this correct??
If so, when do enrolments start?
Are there any requirements?
Do i apply for a resident visa before applying for a University?
Do most foreigners that apply get accepted?
Do I need to be Finland to apply for the University?
Theres a few other things I'd like to know but I'll leave it at that for now.
Any advice would be great, cheers

Hi,
You can refer to this link -> http://www.studyinfinland.fi/what_to_st ... programmes
1.The application normally start in Dec and enrolment for study is in autumn.
2. Yes, there are requirements and some of the universities will require some specific document based on Country of Origin. You can check this information on the university's website.
3. You only apply the resident permit ONCE you are being accepted for study.
4. You dont have to be in Finland to apply for the university. It all online application.
I think the university accept anyone who meet their requirement despite the nationality.
For non-EU, at the moment they are still able to study for free but this might change soon. You can refer to this link -> http://www.studyinfinland.fi/tuition_an ... ition_fees

@OP, the members whom have posted before me here have pretty much answered most of your questions. I do have a question for you though, just curious, why do you not want to study in Australia?
