Hello to all, just a question,
if someone is taking unemployment benefit for some period and then s/he doesn't find a job and decides to move out the country, does kela take the unemployment benefit back?
I am asking because I am in an unemployment state and still searching for a job, but if I don't find one I am seriously thinking of start searching in other countries as well.

If they have paid you benefits for dates after your move, then maybe but I don't know if it's possible to get benefits in advance that way. Within the EU they will actually keep paying you in the destination country.neronakos wrote: if someone is taking unemployment benefit for some period and then s/he doesn't find a job and decides to move out the country, does kela take the unemployment benefit back?

EUsian prolly gets registered just fine and served summons to court while doing it. Not really at the same time, but soonish anyway. The big computer and all that.tummansininen wrote:Owing money or having this kind of punishment might prevent you from re-entering Finland or getting a resident permit in future.
