I am working in Helsinki since last year August (almost 1 year). Now I have B type RP and it is expiring next year July. My initial RP (B type) granted for 2 years.
Is there any chance that I can change my RP to A type before my current RP expires, as I have already lived and worked for a year?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you have a temporary residence permit for work or for carrying on a business
- you may apply for a continuous residence permit after you have resided in Finland for two years without interruption. If you have had several fixed-period permits, they must follow each other without interruption. Your residence will be considered uninterrupted if you have resided in Finland for at least half the validity period of your residence permit. Uninterrupted residence is not affected by absences such as normal holiday trips or other travels, or by working abroad if you have been sent there by a Finnish employer.

note- the second year here , you can be given A permit , but it is a restricted A permit for 1 year, after that year is completed and you are eligible, you get the continuous 4 year A permit.
