I do hold an Indian passport, and a Finnish resident permit sticker (which expires by Aug 2015) not a RP bio metric card.
Do I need a UK transit visa if I travel to Helsinki via London with a stopover in London for less than 6 hours?
I have checked https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/india/transit/no but unable to understand this exemption:
have a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state
http://europa.eu/legislation_summaries/ ... 043_en.htm also didn't help me in understanding whether the Finnish sticker RP is enough or do I need the latest biometric RP card to transit through UK without transit visa?
UK transit visa
Re: UK transit visa
When was your RP issued and what type is it?

I'm not an expert on the matter, but at least according to this document from an official Danish website for information on these matters, it would seem that your visa is issued according to the uniform format.ganesh1309 wrote:In Aug 2011, A type, which expires by Aug 2015 and it has RP sticker.
