hi all,
help!
question about household/home insurance, what does it cover? I have a watch, that I forgot to screw in the crown unintentionally, and rinsed it under water to get rid of the sweat. If any moisture gets in, it could cost to have it checked, cleaned, and done. Although, I suspect that is not the case, just want to be sure.
Would the home/household insurance cover this? Any ideas?
Kind regards.

You should read the insurance papers. Maybe call the insurance company. All this time your watch is in rice bag? Mechanical watch? With emotional or monetary value? Get it cleaned and serviced. Else, wait until it needs service anyway or bin it after it doesn't work.

I'm not sure if it works if one speaks English, but I'd call my insurance company (after checking that my deductible would likely be less than the service cost). If I'd have the watch checked in any case, I could wait after the service, at which point, if necessary, have the damage report/compensation request done immediately.

Yep, it is the servicing (korjaus) costs that I am worried about!

I will have to check with the insurance company.
