Hello,
I just found out I am pregnant. I have Kela card but I don't live permanently in Finland. I have Kela card because I have permanent contract, I'm working only in Finland and I pay all my taxes to Finland. I work 24 hours per weer, free time I spend in Estonia, where I don't have insurance neither work.
I should get all the Kela's benefits but is there going to be a problem if I don't have finnish address? I should get maternity pay but what about child payments if I register child to Estonia?
According to new law I can go to a doctor anywhere in Eu, is it same if I'm pregnant?
Can I register pregnancy in Finland without going to a doctor there ( i take papers from Estonia)
Thank You!
Pregnancy
Re: Pregnancy
That should not be a problem, as those are paid even for Estonian children/mother whose father/husband is the one working here.Kikuriku wrote:Hello,

I think the Finnish interpretation has been that the KELA compensates (in non-emergency cases if there is no prior approval from KELA) using the same rates it does when compensating for care with Finnish private doctors - which is not much in Finland, although might look better compared to Estonian medical fees.According to new law I can go to a doctor anywhere in Eu, is it same if I'm pregnant?
If you plan to use medical services here, it seems you should get something called "Todistus oikeudesta hoitoetuuksiin Suomessa / Certificate of entitlement to medical care in Finland" from KELA
Anyway, I'd try to call or visit them: http://www.kela.fi/web/en
I find it likely there are somethings you should know about but you are not likely even to realize the need to ask.
