Finally found some 'better' sweet-smoked bacon - the kind usually eaten in the world - UK, US, Continental Europe.
(Bacon as it was eaten in Finland - up till the 90's used the 'harder,' more aggressive smoking - much of what is known with fish - so the quality gradations of sweet-smoked bacon not so well developed here).

- the first slices baked impressed me as 'better' - but when used the rest of the package I did find it was pretty much without any real 'bacon-y' taste. I think I found it 'better' because it lacked some of the recent 'after tastes' I had found from some Lidl, Wotkins and X-tra'
So the 'search' goes on.

Whatever happened to Aleksiskivi, he would have loved a thread like this.
