residence permit based on family ties.

I have come to Finland with a visitor visa and applied for my first residence permit in the police office in Finland.
I have applied it on 9th of October. So far noone has contacted me or my wife for interview or application s status.
Any idea , if the interview is mandatory when you apply for the residence permit for family ties ?

I don't think it's mandatory. I didn't get invited to an interview.

Depends if you are 20y old nigerian marrying 60y old finn/20 year old thai marrying 60y old finn or 30y old american marrying to 30y old finn who lived in 5 years in usa.
There is no any "norm".

my name is yacine , an i have 29 and iam an algerian marry with a finish woman she has 37 years and have 2 kids
i want just know if this situation of my wife can affected in the situation of my residence permit.
we meet each other 4 times ans she stay with me approximately 5 month i want too know if this can help for i get a positive desicion about the residence permit

The concept of RP based on family is to unite the family to live together. In most cases they only check if the wedding is legal or fake. Is your case, you are married to a woman and already have 2 kids with her? then you are already defined as family. you should get positive decision.

Marriage does not guarantee RP even though it's legally held. What immigration/police also wants to know is whether the marriage has taken place for an RP. If they suspect marriage of convenience, RP decision will most likely be negative imho. Also, if I understood the op correctly, the kids are not his and all in all he has met her for 4 times so far....
