Hi,
So far I know two ship companies operate from Helsinki to Stockholm and vv. One is Viking line another is Silja line. Both of their ships reaches Stockholm around 10 in the morning. So does any one has experience to reach Stockholm before 9 ? Airlines will be costly, so out of this plan. Any suggestion?
Regards,
Richard

You could take the Vikingline ferry from TurkuÅbo to Stockholm, arrives at 6.30 in Sto. But then you have to get to Turku from Helsinki first. Depends on how flexible you could be with traveling one day earlier and just staying as cheaply as possible one night in Stockholm.

Really? I mean you seem to really want to arrive before 09:00, so just look a bit harder. A Norwegian Airlines flight next Monday from Helsinki arrives at 07:00 (Sweden time) in Stockholm. It costs 45 euros. That's less than what a train ticket from Helsinki to Jyväskylä costs.Airlines will be costly, so out of this plan.

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

No use getting to Stockholm before 10 as everyplace is closed. Or on a Monday as nothing is open

It's costly to reach comfortably from Arlanda to Stockholm centre.
Onni/ onni express bus to Turku and then Viking line. If you are a student, train from Helsinki to Turku might be a good option. Train before ship's departure goes straight to the harbour.
